About MENABA
The Middle-Eastern and North African Bar Association aims to gather all lawyers, law students, and legal professionals who identify as being of Middle-Eastern, North African and Southwest Asian descent under one umbrella. The Middle-Eastern identity is so often erased in the legal community to the point where a statistic does not exist for the amount of Middle-Eastern, North African, or Southwest Asian lawyers in the United States. With government forms effectively working to erase our identity by labeling us as "white," we have limited resources as our identity has not existed as it's own within this country.

The goal of MENABA is to expand the dialogue surrounding the MENA and SWANA regions in the legal profession to provide a place for all identities to gather together. With a plethora of similarities and differences between cultures like Coptics, Iranians, Arabs, and much more, we can all find unity in the Middle-Eastern and North African diaspora.
